The vision
The 9 Ts has come about from my (not so) secret love of all music originating in the 90's. The band will:
- Play sets consisting of over 90% songs from the 90's (completely arbitrary figure but it kind of makes sense)
- Be committed to becoming a serious function band (no doubt pubs and bars will be played initially)
- Not ignore any genre of music and try it's hand at anything 90's based
- Only play absolute crowd pleasing anthems
- Be professional and fun at all times
Where?
Well depends on where the musicians come from... I'm Bedfordshire based so I guess I'll be looking around here, Heftfordshire, Cambridgeshire and anywhere else around... Wouldn't discount basing the band in London either...
Members required
So so far there's just me and I play lead/rhythm guitar. I'm envisioning the following musicians will be required:
As you can see, for the band to work as I think it should, we might be looking at a 9 or 10 piece... hence, for it to work and be worth our while, it really needs to contain committed musicians who are top quality and not afraid to commit so that this can be a function/wedding band. - Lead vocal male - Genuinely intended to be a diverse band, both lead male vocalist and female will be required. Preferably the male vocalist wouldn't be shy about turning his hand to rap. Also beneficial if vocalists can play an instrument
- Lead vocal female - as above
- Drums - Drummer, preferably with some synth pad/electric drum kit or additional percussion
- Bass guitar - Good solid bassist comfortable in all styles - not looking for a 'plodding bassist'
- Keyboard/synth - Clearly with the era of music concerned keys/synth will be essential
- Rhythm/lead guitar - I would hope for a vocalist with some guitar experience perhaps but might be necessary to have two guitars
- Vocalist (rap) - as above for male vocalist - it might be one of the other musicians can turn their hand to rap?
- Brass section - Really no expert when it comes to this side of music and perhaps a lot could be covered with the synth. However it might be cool to have a brass section
